Malik Shahmir Pervez was awarded the global position for his outstanding achievement on the Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA) exam. His father worked as a truck driver in Rawalpindi, and Shahmir came from a humble family. He completed his early education at a local school that taught in Urdu (APS). When his father, who was also his best friend, passed away unexpectedly, he was unable to continue his schooling. He had finished pre-medical at Fauji Foundation College with an A-1 mark.
