Renowned Pakistani actor, Ali Rahman Khan, is set to take on the role of a Khwaja Sira (intersex) character in the TV drama serial “Guru.” Following the success of director Saim Sadiq’s film “Joy Land” and Mani Butt’s series “Sar e Rah,” director Bilal Hussain Abbasi’s drama serial “Guru” will showcase Ali Rahman Khan in a central role as Khwaja Sira.
The teaser, released by a private TV channel airing “Guru,” introduces Ali Rahman Khan’s challenging character, who engages in various performances to earn money and sustain his livelihood. The teaser showcases moments of laughter and joy during a wedding ceremony, capturing glimpses of the character’s troubled life.
In the teaser, the actor depicts excitement upon seeing toys for children in a market stall and eventually enters a house with an abandoned child.
Shazia Wajahat, the producer of the drama serial “Guru,” praised Ali Rahman Khan’s abilities in portraying a difficult character. In an Instagram post, she expressed her pride in Ali Rahman Khan, stating, “I am extremely proud of my friend Ali Rahman Khan for stepping out of his comfort zone and taking on this challenging role.” She further wrote, “Many people will think twice before attempting such a difficult job, but thank you for breaking through all barriers with a completely new approach.”
