In a significant development, Aryan Khan, the eldest son of Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan, is making his debut in the film world, not as an actor but as a director. Aryan set to helm a six-episode series titled “Stardom,” slated for release on a popular streaming platform.
Reportedly, the series will star Mona Singh in the lead role, with cameo appearances from industry heavyweights like Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Bobby Deol, Ranbir Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh. The script written by Aryan himself, and the series will produced under the banner of Shah Rukh Khan’s production house, Red Chillies Entertainment.
Aryan Khan, who also runs his own clothing brand called D’Yavol X, expressed in a recent interview that he draws on his father’s vast knowledge of the industry. Despite being actively involved in the fashion business, Aryan highlights the contrasting creative stimulation between directing and managing a fashion brand.
Adding to the excitement, Nishant Kkhanduja, known for his role in “Fighter,” has joined the cast. Speaking about Aryan’s directorial skills, Kkhanduja praised his ability to articulate scenes effectively, making the collaborative process smoother for the actors.
The upcoming series, “Stardom,” anticipated to be a captivating exploration of the film industry, with its backdrop providing a unique narrative setting. The production is under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment, promising high-quality storytelling and visuals.
Aryan Khan, a graduate of the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California, faced legal scrutiny in October 2021 for alleged involvement in recreational drugs at a party on a cruise ship. However, all charges subsequently dropped by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
As Aryan Khan ventures into the world of direction with “Stardom,” the anticipation is high for a series that promises to be a compelling addition to the streaming landscape.
