Indian media sources report that Vaibhavi Upadhyay, acclaimed for her remarkable performances in notable TV shows like “Sarabhai vs Sarabhai,” has met an unfortunate fate. Producer J.D. Majethia, through an Instagram story, informed fans about the tragic incident that unfolded in the northern regions of India. Upadhyay’s sudden demise has left the industry in shock and disbelief.
Expressing his grief, Majethia posted a heartfelt message stating, “Life is incredibly unpredictable. We have lost an extraordinary actress and a dear friend, Vaibhavi Upadhyay, who brilliantly portrayed the character of ‘Jasmine’ in the beloved sitcom ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’.”
Funeral arrangements and last rites to take place in Mumbai
J.D. Majethia further revealed that the final rituals for Vaibhavi Upadhyay will be performed in Mumbai. The family will bring her back to the city for the funeral proceedings. Funeral is scheduled to take place tomorrow morning at 11 am.
Vaibhavi Upadhyay’s contribution to the Indian entertainment industry will always be cherished. Apart from her memorable role as ‘Jasmine’ in the popular sitcom “Sarabhai vs Sarabhai,” she also worked alongside renowned actress Deepika Padukone in the films “Chhapaak” (2020) and “Tejimber” (2023).
