Mahira Khan and Wahaj Ali’s Mitti De Baway Teaser Deepens Mystery Around Past Romance

Green Entertainment has released a fresh teaser for the upcoming drama Mitti De Baway, offering a closer look at the complex history between lead stars Mahira Khan and Wahaj Ali.

The one-minute teaser follows up on the initial trailer. It sheds more light on the contrasting backgrounds of the main characters

• Mahira Khan stars as Bilquees (Billo), a woman from an affluent family who eventually ascends to a powerful position as a spiritual leader.
• In contrast, Wahaj Ali plays Iqbal (Baala), a man from a much lower social class

Flashbacks show Baala playing the tambourine while his mother performs at weddings. It establishes a deep societal divide between the former lovers. Billo’s disgust for his background is evident in the footage. One scene even features her sharp remark: “He is the son of a mother who plays the garhvi (a small clay pot sometimes played as an instrument).”

From Young Lovers to Bitter Rivals

Their romance was cut short by Baala’s imprisonment. While Baala serves time and pays the price for his past, Billo undergoes a massive transformation. She steps into a world where status, reputation and influence dictate her life choices.

When Baala returns from prison, the two are no longer the people who once fell in love. Despite the resentment and class barriers separating them, intense emotional tension remains.

The teaser concludes in a chilling warning from Billo, who looks at Baala and says, “If I am ruined, Baala, you won’t thrive either.”

Production and Release Status

Mitti De Baway marks the first full-fledged television drama pairing between Mahira Khan and Wahaj Ali, following their prior work together in a commercial.

The project is written by Faiza Iftikhar, directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain, and produced by Tehreem Chaudhary under the banner of Green Entertainment.

While promotional material continues to build anticipation, the channel has not yet announced an official broadcast date, keeping the premiere listed simply as “coming soon.”
