Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse Trailer Leaks Online Ahead of 2027 Release

Fans got an early look at the third animated Spider-Verse movie after footage leaked on social media. It prompted producer Chris Miller to vent his frustration over the unfinished video circulating online.

The highly anticipated trailer for Spider Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse was leaked on social media platform X, giving fans a sneak peek at the third chapter of the popular animated film series.

The upcoming animated movie is currently scheduled to hit theaters on June 18, 2027.

Producer Expresses Frustration Over Unfinished Footage

The leak caught the attention of the film’s co-writer and producer, Chris Miller. He publicly expressed his disappointment on X on Friday, confirming that the clip was incomplete.

“Not a fan of leaks of unfinished, not fully rendered footage,” Miller posted online.

The leaked video, which runs for over four minutes, appears to be rough preview footage previously shown behind closed doors to industry insiders at CinemaCon in April. It picks up right where Across the Spider-Verse ended, showing Miles Morales facing an alternate version of himself alongside his Uncle Aaron.

Part of a Rising Wave of Hollywood Leaks

This leak is part of a growing trend targeting major blockbuster releases. Last month footages from major films like The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day leaked on X following their theatrical runs.

The franchise has faced similar security breaches in the past. The 2021 hit Spider Man: No Way Home trailer leaked online weeks before the official release.

Sony Pictures is working to remove the unauthorized videos from social media. However fan accounts continue to reupload and share clips of the footage.
