Ushna Shah, a Pakistani actress known for her outspokenness and humor, has joked about selling one of her spleen to afford the upcoming iPhone 15, which is expected to launch in two months.
Shah shared a post on her social media handle that announced the launch of iPhone 15, the latest version of the popular smartphone by Apple. She captioned the post with a sarcastic remark: “Sold a kidney for the last one, does anyone need a spleen?”
The actress was referring to the huge prices of the iPhones, which have increased significantly in recent years. The current models of iPhone 14, which were launched last year, range from PKR 229,999 to PKR 374,999 in Pakistan.
The iPhone 15 is likely to be even more expensive, according to some analysts. Jeff Pu, a tech analyst at Hong Kong-based investment firm Haitong International Securities, predicted that the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the larger of the two Pro models, will see a price increase higher than the $1,099 starting price of the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to feature a periscope lens that will enable 5x to 6x optical zoom, a major improvement over the 3x zoom on the iPhone 14 Pro models. The periscope lens is likely to be exclusive to the Pro Max model, while both Pro models will include telephoto lens technology as part of their three-camera array.
