Faisal Mosque Itikaf Updates – In a significant move, the President of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), Prof. Dr. Hathal Homoud Al-Otaibi, has decided to waive the previously imposed Rs5,000 registration fee for Itikaaf at Islamabad’s renowned Faisal Mosque during the upcoming Ramadan 2024.
This decision was made swiftly after learning about the fixed registration fee, with the President directing the Dawah Academy to take immediate action in this regard. Emphasizing the importance of seeking approval from relevant authorities for decisions concerning the mosque, the President underscored that independent decisions by the academy were not permissible.
During the holy month of fasting, Itikaf—a spiritual practice observed in the last ten or nine days, commencing from the evening of 20th Ramadan—holds immense significance for worshippers. In light of this, the President has called for ensuring all necessary facilities are provided to worshippers at the Faisal Mosque and resolving any issues related to Itikaf.
This development reflects a commitment to facilitating and enhancing the spiritual experiences of individuals observing Itikaf at one of Pakistan’s most iconic and revered religious sites, fostering a conducive environment for devotion and prayer during Ramadan 2024.
