Ramadan 2024 in Saudi Arabia to Begin on March 11: Astronomy Expert Predicts

In a noteworthy revelation by astronomy expert Ibrahim Al Jarwan, the commencement of Ramadan in Saudi Arabia is anticipated to occur on March 11, 2024. Al Jarwan, serving as the chairman of the board of the Emirates Astronomy Society, based his prediction on meticulous astronomical calculations.

This forecast indicates that Ramadan in neighboring Pakistan is also likely to begin on March 11 or March 12, aligning with the astronomical insights provided by Al Jarwan.

Adding a fascinating twist to the upcoming Ramadan, Al Jarwan highlighted that winters in Saudi Arabia are expected to start on December 22 and conclude on March 20. This sets the stage for Ramadan to unfold during the winter season for the first time in 26 years, a phenomenon projected to persist until 2031.

The daily fasts during Ramadan, observed from sunrise to sunset, will have varying durations across different parts of the world. In Saudi Arabia, this year’s fasts are estimated to last between 13 and 15 hours, offering a unique dimension to the fasting experience.

The commencement of Ramadan on March 11 also holds implications for the celebration of Eid-ul Fitar, expected to fall around April 10 or 11. As the holy month approaches, the faithful eagerly await the start of Ramadan and the meaningful observance of fasting, prayer, and reflection.

As the anticipation builds, individuals worldwide prepare for a distinctive Ramadan experience, influenced not only by religious traditions but also by the unique astronomical circumstances predicted by Ibrahim Al Jarwan.
