This initiative facilitates the entry of pilgrims from various countries into the Kingdom, further cementing Saudi Arabia’s position as a significant religious destination.
The recently introduced visa-on-arrival system offers eligible pilgrims the opportunity to enter Saudi Arabia through diverse routes including sea, air, and land. This streamlined approach is set to simplify the visa application process, expediting the entry of pilgrims who are embarking on their spiritual journey to the holy sites.
The list of eligible countries encompass citizens from more than 10 to 12 nations, including but not limited to:

- United Kingdom
- European Union countries
- Australia
- New Zealand
- Singapore
- Malaysia
- South Korea
- Japan
- Kazakhstan
- Brunei
- China
A notable recent development in the Saudi Arabian Umrah pilgrimage landscape is the extension of the Umrah visa duration to 90 days. This extension, implemented earlier this month, offers pilgrims an extended window to perform their religious rituals and experience the sanctity of the holy cities, Makkah and Madinah.
Furthermore, the Kingdom is diligently working on expanding the offerings for pilgrims within Makkah and Madinah. Dr. Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Al Rabiah, Saudi Arabia’s Minister for Hajj and Umrah, has revealed plans to make additional locations available to pilgrims. This enhancement is anticipated to provide pilgrims with an enriched spiritual experience and greater access to the sacred sites.
