Controversial MDCAT Entry Test Paper in KPK Goes Viral Despite Tight Security Measures

In a surprising turn of events, the MDCAT Entry Test paper, conducted once again in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) today, has become a trending topic on social media platforms. This follows the cancellation of the previous MD Entry Test due to a Bluetooth scandal, prompting a change in the test administration from EATA to Khyber Medical University.

Despite stringent security measures implemented during the MDCAT Entry Test, the question paper managed to circulate widely on social media. Notably, mobile phones were strictly prohibited for both invigilators and other staff present during the examination.

Even security personnel on duty were not exempt from the mobile phone ban; however, the test paper found its way onto social media platforms, sparking concerns about the effectiveness of the security protocols in place.

Dr. Zia ul Haq, Vice-Chancellor of Khyber Medical University, addressed these concerns in an interview with Geo News, asserting that there was no evidence of a paper leak during the test. He explained that, after the test, the question paper becomes a public document, making it susceptible to being shared or photographed.

Dr. Zia ul Haq suggested that individuals might have taken pictures by placing the question paper on a bed sheet at home. Emphasizing the transparency of the test, he dismissed the possibility of a paper leak occurring during the examination.

It is essential to recall that the previous MDCAT Entry Test faced controversy when a secret Bluetooth device was discovered with 219 candidates, leading to the test’s cancellation. The subsequent transfer of responsibility from EATA to Khyber Medical University aimed to address and rectify the issues surrounding the integrity of the examination process.
