Pakistan is set to embark on the sacred Hajj 2024 operation, commencing May 9. This spiritual journey will be facilitated from eight key airports across the country, marking a significant event in the Islamic calendar.
In preparation for this holy pilgrimage, all pilgrims will receive mandatory vaccinations at Hajj camps, starting April 30. This measure ensures the health and safety of the pilgrims during their journey. Additionally, each pilgrim will be equipped with a suitcase, hand-carry bag, shoe bag, Ihram belt, and a green scarf adorned with the Pakistani flag.
In a modern twist to this age-old tradition, carrying a smartphone has made compulsory for all intending pilgrims. This initiative aims to leverage technology and mobile apps to assist pilgrims during their Hajj journey.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has completed arrangements for the Hajj 2024 flight operation. Four airlines, including Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Saudi Airlines, Air Blue, and Serene Air, will participate in the Hajj operation. The operation will facilitate as many as 69,500 pilgrims under the government’s scheme, departing from Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Quetta, Sukkur, Sialkot, Rahim Yar Khan, and Faisalabad airports.
