Disruptive, brilliant and empowering�Glow & Lovely launches an awe-inspiring anthem giving way for acceptance of the complete Pakistani skin colour palette. Previously announcing a change in name and removal of words fairness�, �whitening� and �lightening� across all communication, the brand now officially released its first anthem. Its new, its different and it is never too late to stir a revolution.
Performed by Aima Baig, the GAL anthem features an array of inspiring personalities including the likes of Sumaira Waris (the first Pakistani female tabla player), Hajra Khan (Pakistani women�s football team captain), Naina (female boxer) and Natalia Gul (youtube sensation) � all appreciated in their respective fields. Thus, it�s safe to say the previous GAL female avatar has definitely transformed for the best. However, the visuals are not the only element that grabs attention. It�s the soulful moving lyrics that is the real winner. �Mitti ke 100 Rung hein. Aik rung main aik rung tu�Har rang mei tuu hai poori. Har rung mein tera wajood,� screams out the message of diversity and all-inclusivity. The entire narrative is based on urging to women to awaken �inner glow,� which usually comes with the confidence of pursuing one�s dreams. It also subtly indicates what the product has always offered � smooth even and clear skin that is healthy and well cared for.
Standing true to its promise of celebrating women, we�re excited and waiting to see more of such powerful and impactful messages from GAL. Clearly offering more than just a name change, with this anthem the brand has definitely laid the stepping stones for what appears to be a promising and an all-inclusive future for the beauty industry of Pakistan.
