Bad News for UAE Visa Applicants

People who are applying for United Arab Emirates (UAE) visa have some bad news, Here’s what you need to know about the recent update.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has made a significant decision to suspend the issuance of three-month visit visas. This decision was confirmed by a call center executive at the Federal Authority For Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP).

The call center executive stated that the “three-month entry permit was available a few months ago, but not anymore.” However, individuals can still apply for 30- or 60-day visas. Travel agents have also confirmed the removal of the three-month visit visa option from the portal used to issue permits.

It’s worth noting that the 60-day visa was introduced as an alternative when the UAE discontinued the three-month visit visa during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the three-month scheme was reinstated in May as a leisure visa.

Despite the suspension of the three-month visit visa for general tourists, first-degree relatives of UAE residents can still avail it. Residents are permitted to bring their parents or relatives on the three-month scheme.

Additionally, Khaleej Times reported that the issuance of long-term leisure visas has been temporarily suspended. This decision was made despite increasing demand for such visas, especially with the winter season approaching.
