Big Changes Coming to Pakistani Passports? Government Plans Major Security Upgrade

The Government of Pakistan is planning a major Pakistan passport security upgrade by introducing advanced security features aimed at preventing forgery and enhancing the global credibility of Pakistani passports.

The meeting convened by the Director General of Immigration and Passports Muhammad Ali Randhawa, during which the proposal discussed with representatives of leading international passport security technology companies.

Government Reviews Advanced Passport Security Features

At the meeting, officials reviewed several proposals to incorporate state-of-the-art security measures in Pakistani passports. It aims to enhance the protection against forgery, authenticity of documents and harmonize the Pakistan Passport System with international security practices.

Experts emphasized that the proposed technologies would substantially decrease the risk of passport fraud and facilitate quick verification of passports and increase foreign recognition of Pakistani travel documents.

International Companies Present Latest Passport Technologies

Representatives of globally known companies in the field of passport security technology gave detailed presentations to them about the latest security solutions used in some of the world’s most secure passports. The demonstrations spanned innovative anti-forgery solutions, biometrics enhancement, and advanced authentication technologies.

The Director General Immigration and Passports and the technical experts and forensic experts have seen the proposed technologies to understand their effectiveness and suitability for the Pakistani system.
