Brace yourself as the ongoing cold wave in Karachi is expected to stay a bit longer, as predicted by PMD.

Karachi has seen an enormously enduring cold wave this winter season. Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has now predicted that the cold spell is likely to make us shiver a few more days. Met reported that the ongoing cold snap will continue for almost ten more nights.��

The mercury fell to 8 degrees on Tuesday morning. The city witnessed its coldest night in 10 years at the beginning of New Year on the 1st of January when the temperature fell to 5.6 degrees Celsius. The metropolis rarely witnesses these types of long cold waves.

Northern winds are blowing at full swing and are expected to impact the city. Karachiites may get hit with winds of above 50-kilometer per hour in the coming few days. The maximum temperature during the day will hover between 22 to 24 degrees Celsius.

Cold and dry weather is expected in the rest of the country as well, few parts of Punjab and KP may receive light rain and snowfall. While fog is going to prevail in Central and South Punjab. The federal capital Islamabad is also expected to receive some rain.
