Eid Moon-Sighting in Pakistan – The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has scheduled a meeting in Islamabad on April 9 to sight the moon for Eid al-Fitr. The meeting, under the leadership of Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad and organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, aims to gather testimonies for the sighting of Shawwal’s moon.
The committee will comprise members from various sectors, including meteorology, astronomy, and governmental authorities. Additionally, zonal moon-sighting committees will convene at designated locations.
It’s worth noting that earlier, Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad had indicated the possibility of Ramadan’s moon sighting on the 29th based on scientific calculations.
Furthermore, meteorologists have predicted the birth of the new moon on the night of April 8 at 11:21 pm, with chances of moon sighting on April 9.
