Eid-ul-Fitr Weather Update: Rain in Islamabad, Heatwave in Karachi

As Eid-ul-Fitr approaches, Pakistan is set for contrasting weather conditions. The Meteorological Department forecasts rain and thunderstorms in Islamabad, while Karachi braces for intense heat.

According to the Meteorological Department, the upper regions of Pakistan, including Islamabad, are expected to experience rain accompanied by thunder on the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Starting from Friday, a new series of rainfall is expected to sweep across the country, with thunderstorms predicted in several areas, particularly in Islamabad, on Wednesday.

Thursday’s weather is projected to be dry with slightly elevated temperatures. However, another round of rainfall is likely to begin from Friday evening, with skies expected to clear in most areas from Friday through Monday.

In contrast, Karachi is facing a heatwave from April 9 to 10, with temperatures soaring up to 39 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department warns of rising temperatures in Karachi and hot weather in the upper and central districts of Sindh, with temperatures ranging from 38 to 39 degrees Celsius.
