Fast-Track Passport Fees in Pakistan 2024: Updated Rates and New Charges

Recently, the federal government announced a significant increase in fast-track passport fees in Pakistan. Citizens must now shell out an additional Rs 2,500 to secure this crucial travel document for five years.

The Directorate General Immigration and Passports has issued a notification detailing the revised rates. The new fee structure for the fast-track passport now ranges from Rs 12,500 to Rs 32,000.

Fast Track Passport Updated Fees

The revised rates are as follows:

  • 36-page passport: The fee for a five-year fast-track passport has increased by Rs 2,500, bringing the total to Rs 12,500. For a ten-year validity, the fee is Rs 23,000. The fee for a ten-year machine-readable passport with 36 pages is Rs 16,200.
  • 72-page passport: A ten-year machine-readable passport with 72 pages will cost Rs 25,200.
  • 100-page passport: A ten-year machine-readable passport with 100 pages can obtained for Rs 32,000.

This hike in passport fees, announced on March 7, means citizens will have to pay an additional 50 percent for ordinary and urgent passports.

Fee Hike for Ordinary and Urgent Passports in Pakistan

The fee for an ordinary 36-page passport for five years has increased from Rs3,000 to Rs4,500, while the urgent processing fee risen from Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,500. For a ten-year validity 36-page passport, the fee has raised to Rs 6,700 from Rs 4,500. The urgent fee for a ten-year validity 36-page passport is now Rs 11,200.

For a 72-page ordinary passport valid for five years, the fee is Rs 8,200, and Rs 13,500 for urgent processing. For a ten-year validity, the fees are Rs 12,400 and Rs 20,200 for normal and urgent processing respectively.

For a 100-page passport valid for five years, the new fee is Rs 9,000 for standard processing and Rs 18,000 for urgent processing. For a ten-year validity passport of 100 pages, the fees are Rs 13,500 for standard processing and Rs 27,000 for urgent processing.
