In a landmark move, Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs has declared the launch of Hajj flight operations for 2024, commencing from May 9th to June 9th. This Thursday, the capital city of Islamabad will witness the inaugural Hajj flight, embarking on a spiritual journey to Madinah.
The Ministry’s spokesperson revealed that for the first 15 days, all flights will be directed straight to Madinah Airport. Following this, from May 24th till June 9th, the majority of the flights will be landing at Jeddah Airport.
On the first day of operations, a fleet of 11 flights is scheduled to transport a total of 2,160 pilgrims to the sacred lands of Saudi Arabia. Islamabad will bid farewell to 680 pilgrims across three flights. Meanwhile, Karachi and Lahore will be sending off 330 and 670 passengers respectively on their designated flights to the Holy Hijaz.
