Good News! Electricity Bills to Decrease Across Pakistan in May 2024

In a move that will bring relief to consumers, electricity bills are set to decrease by Rs 4.12 per unit in May, marking a significant reduction from March. This development comes as a result of a petition submitted to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra), proposing a cut in fuel cost adjustment from Rs 4.92 per unit in April to Rs 2.94 per unit in May.

The Ministry of Power Division confirmed this in a statement released on Tuesday. The statement also highlighted a previous reduction in the power tariff for April, which saw rates drop from Rs 7.6 per unit in March to Rs 4.92 per unit.

This series of reductions in electricity tariffs is a welcome development for consumers, easing the financial burden of energy costs. As we move into May, consumers can look forward to further savings on their electricity bills, thanks to these adjustments in fuel costs.

Stay tuned for more updates on this and other developments in the energy sector. Remember, every unit saved is a step towards a more sustainable and energy-efficient future.
