Additionally, petrol prices will go up by 19 rupees and 95 paisas, reaching 272 rupees and 95 paisas per litre.

The decision to raise prices was taken while considering the recent surge in oil prices worldwide. The Finance Minister clarified that it was essential to align with OPEC’s prevailing market trends to ensure the country’s stability and financial well-being.

It is noteworthy that Pakistan is currently under the IMF program, and the government is committed to fulfilling its obligations regarding petroleum imports, as agreed upon with the International Monetary Fund.

The government assures the public that this adjustment is a necessary measure to mitigate the impact of global market fluctuations and maintain economic stability. Despite the increase, the government is working diligently to ensure the best possible outcomes for the citizens.

This measured approach to managing petrol prices demonstrates the government’s commitment to the nation’s welfare and economic prosperity. By taking steps to cope with international market trends, the government aims to strike a balance between ensuring the nation’s financial interests and addressing the needs of the people.
