The renowned digital activist Imran Ghazali now became the General Manager of Digital Media Wing (DMW) at Ministry of Information, Government of Pakistan. However, DMW is the newly established unit at the Information ministry.
The main aim of DMW is to work as the strategic unit of Pakistani government and to offer the result oriented media content, digital PR, and to offer the authentic updates from government on the digital media.
Digital Media Wing is also committed to revolutionize the media consumption in Pakistan. However, it will be great for the interests of the State of Pakistan both globally and locally.
On the other side, DMW will also create digital content for the government’s official social media assets. In addition to it, they will also organize and verify the social media accounts of different federal government ministries to grow their digital media presence.
Imran Ghazali’s Profile
Imran Ghazali is a renowned expert in the digital media with more than 14 years of industry experience. He recently served as the Head of Social Media Consultant at DFID’s family planning project – DAFPAK. Earlier, he lead the digital strategy as the consultant to UNICEF for Clean Green Pakistan initiative at the Ministry of climate change.
He was a part of team that implemented the KP Government’s Digital Policy. He also worked closely with KP IT Board as World Bank Pakistan Consultant for Digital Youth Summit.
Imran Ghazali also managed the digital PR and the digital media presence of Nutshell Forum, the leading conference management organization of Pakistan.
He also did 360 degree digital coverage of Pakistan’s biggest corporate summits, Leaders In Islamabad Business Summit & The Future Summit prime events of Nutshell.
From Dec 2016 to August 2018, he worked as Head of National Campaigning – Digital at Alif Ailaan. Imran Ghazali was the architect of the digital strategy for the last 2 years of the campaign that resulted in high reach and engagement over social media.
Imran Ghazali has worked as Chief Digital Officer at M&C Saatchi World Services. However, he was responsible for the whole digital business and was leading digital strategy for key accounts. He has advised for the digital strategy and led the social media roll-out of their Pakistan-US Friendship campaign.
He speaks as the social media strategist at different public events and has been consulting different international organizations on digital media.
