In a series of tweets, Khan expressed his concerns about the ruling Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) alliance, accusing them of assuming the roles of judge, jury, and executioner. He also claimed that the government intends to humiliate him further by incarcerating his wife, Bushra Bibi. Khan further denounced the PDM’s campaign against Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial, suggesting it was an attempt to influence judicial decisions.
The PTI leader was granted bail in eight cases against him, but concerns remain that the government may find other charges to arrest him once again. Khan accused the coalition government of violating basic human rights and warned that a complete crackdown on PTI leadership and workers may follow, potentially leading to a ban on his party.
Khan alleged deliberate terror unleashed on PTI workers and citizens, as well as media control and censorship. The PTI chief, who was ousted in a no-confidence vote in 2022, is advocating for early elections and seeking support from the Supreme Court.
