Imran Khan in Good Health, Concerned Over Wife’s Medical Condition

Former prime minister Imran Khan is in good health, but he is concerned about an eye problem his wife, Bushra Bibi, is facing.

The update comes from Imran Khan’s meeting with his lawyer, Barrister Salman Safdar, at Adiala Jail on Monday. It was their first such meeting in a long time. The two sides had agreed in advance to keep the talk limited to legal and professional matters, with no political discussion.

The meeting gave Imran Khan a chance to talk about his own health, which described as satisfactory.

Bushra Bibi’s eye problem came up too. This is a real worry for the PTI founder. He reportedly told his lawyer to pursue relief for her through the courts, and to raise her case before the proper judicial forums.

Was Imran Khan Briefed on Recent Events?

Imran Khan already knew about recent political developments before the meeting, including the imposition of governor’s rule and emergency measures in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. His lawyer reportedly did not brief him on these matters during the Monday meeting, since he was already aware of them.

The federal government imposed emergency rule in KP on October 11, citing the provincial PTI government’s “deliberate disengagement” from the fight against terrorism. Emergency was imposed under Article 232 of the Constitution, and governor’s rule under Article 234. PTI has rejected the move as unconstitutional and has said it will challenge it through courts, assemblies, and public forums.
