ISLAMABAD — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Sunday stressed that it is essential for both the United States and Iran to strictly maintain their ceasefire commitments and continue diplomatic engagement in order to prevent further escalation in the Middle East.
His remarks came after high-level discussions in Islamabad concluded without a final agreement between the two sides, despite intensive and prolonged negotiations aimed at reducing tensions.
Dar emphasized that sustained dialogue remains the only viable path toward regional stability and urged both Washington and Tehran to avoid actions that could undermine the fragile ceasefire.
Pakistan, he added, will continue to play its role in facilitating communication between the parties and supporting efforts aimed at de-escalation and peace in the region.
