I’ve Been Forced to Name a Person From Bani Gala, or My Entire Family Will be Picked Up: Dealer Pinky

KARACHI: (Matloob Hussain / Staff Reporter): Accused Anmol alias Pinky stated that she is being pressured to name a man from Bani Gala.

During a hearing at the court of the Special Judicial Magistrate South, Anmol alias Pinky told the court that the police wanted her to give a statement according to their wishes.

The court asked the investigation officer where the previous order was and directed him to present both the review order and the earlier order of the judicial magistrate.

The accused told the court, “They are registering 20 to 25 cases against me. I am being told to confess to everything, and my family will be taken away. The name of a man from Bani Gala is being mentioned, and I am being told to name him. On the first day, they brought me in a van and told me how I should walk. The house where my arrest was shown is not mine.”

Meanwhile, the statement given by Anmol Pinky in court regarding a man from Bani Gala is allegedly being seen as an attempt to influence the investigation.

A police officer involved in the investigation said that Anmol Pinky is a cunning drug dealer who is making allegations against the police involving a man from Bani Gala to influence the investigation and court proceedings.

The police officer further stated that the statement made by Anmol Pinky in court is a dangerous stunt aimed at using a specific political group against the police to divert the direction of the investigation.

The officer also said that she had previously made false allegations against senior leadership of the Pakistan Peoples Party as well. However, according to him, the evidence against the accused is so strong that she cannot escape punishment.

After the hearing at the South District Court, as the accused was being taken away, slogans of “Shame, Shame” were raised. This angered some people present at the hearing, and chants of “Beat her” were heard outside the courtroom. Police somehow managed to escort the accused away under heavy security.
