In a bold move, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has declared its intention to stage a sit-in outside the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BoIEK) in response to what they perceive as disappointing outcomes in the recently disclosed intermediate exams. This announcement follows a surge in reported failure rates in both matric and intermediate examination results, stirring widespread concern.
Hafiz NaeemurRehman, the Chief of JI Karachi, strongly accused the BoIEK of jeopardizing the prospects of the city’s youth. According to Rehman, the educational system has been subjected to a systematic erosion, resulting in students’ failures attributed to incompetence and negligence.
The protest, set against the backdrop of escalating dissatisfaction, aims to shed light on the alleged malpractices affecting the education system. As the city grapples with the aftermath of unexpectedly high failure rates, JI Karachi seeks to address the perceived injustice and advocate for a fair and transparent assessment process.
This development comes at a critical juncture when educational stakeholders and concerned citizens are questioning the integrity of the examination system. JI Karachi’s bold stand underscores the need for immediate attention to rectify the issues plaguing the educational landscape.
