Karachi Faces Extended Loadshedding During Severe Heatwave

KARACHI: Despite the ongoing intense heatwave, prolonged electricity load shedding continues to affect multiple areas across Karachi, causing severe inconvenience to residents already struggling with high temperatures.

According to reports, power outages are not only persisting in regular areas but have also spread to zones that were previously exempt from load shedding. Areas including Keamari, Kharadar, Lyari, Orangi Town, Baldia Town, and Saeedabad are experiencing extended hours without electricity, disrupting daily routines and business activities.

Similarly, electricity cuts have become routine in Liaquatabad C-1 Area, Nazimabad, Gulbahar, Rizvia, and Pak Colony.

Several sectors of New Karachi and North Karachi, as well as North Nazimabad, are also experiencing suspended power supply.

Moreover, even during the peak of extreme heat, areas such as Buffer Zone, Shadman Town, Gulshan Umeer, and Scheme 33 are experiencing regular load shedding. The ongoing outages have intensified public discomfort, with many residents urging authorities to take immediate action and provide relief during the harsh weather conditions.
