In response to an ongoing challenge in gas pressure, Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) has officially declared a 48-hour suspension of gas supply to industries, power generation installations in factories, and CNG stations in Karachi. The interruption is scheduled from Saturday, 8 am, to Monday, 8 am.
The decision, driven by the insufficient gas pressure issue, is a proactive measure aligning with SSGC’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of its gas supply network. The management emphasizes that this temporary discontinuation is essential to address the current challenges effectively.
SSGC, in compliance with governmental directives and decisions from the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC), is following explicit instructions to prioritize uninterrupted gas supply to residential consumers during this period.
It’s crucial to note that Sui Southern Gas Company Limited primarily serves the transmission and distribution of natural gas in Sindh and Baluchistan. The company is actively involved in various aspects of the gas industry, including the manufacturing and sale of gas meters, as well as executing construction contracts for pipeline installations.
The temporary suspension of gas supply to specific sectors underscores SSGC’s commitment to ensuring a balanced and sustainable distribution of this vital resource. Despite the challenges, the company remains dedicated to promptly addressing issues and upholding its responsibilities to both industrial and residential consumers in Karachi.
