Karachi Police Arrest Two Suspects Involved in Online Drug Sales

KARACHI: In Karachi, the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of the CIA Police, in coordination with a civilian intelligence agency, conducted an operation and arrested two suspects involved in selling drugs online.

According to a report by Dunya News, SSP SIU Dr. Samiullah Somro provided details about the arrests and stated that the detained suspects have been identified as Naeem, son of Manzoor, and Muhammad Kashif, son of Muhammad Saleem.

During the operation, 225 grams of ice (crystal meth) were recovered from the possession of the suspects. Authorities said both individuals were involved in the online sale of narcotics.

“The arrested suspect is a member of an extortion gang led by Sameer, who is the son of ex-gang leader Mama Bashir,” said the SIU SSP.

“This gang is operating in District East and is involved in collecting extortion from wine shops, biryani centres, cardboard factories, printing presses, and various other businesses,” the officer added.

The arrested suspect and his gang were also involved in drug trafficking and multiple street crimes, he further said.
