Mayor Karachi and Chairman KW&SC, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, underscored the unwavering commitment of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) to ensuring a consistent and equitable water supply for the city’s residents. In a meeting held at the Chairman Secretariat KW&SC on Wednesday, he emphasized that KWSC is diligently working to provide water supply and drainage facilities to all citizens without any discrimination based on politics, religion, nationality, caste, or race.
During the gathering, Mayor Karachi engaged with various UC Chairmen, where he conveyed the corporation’s dedication to serving the citizens with renewed zeal and identity. The COO of KWSC, Engineer Asadullah Khan, MD of Sindh Solid Waste Management Naseemuddin Mirani, PP Leader Karamullah Waqasi, Parliamentary Leader KMC PTI Asad Uman, Deputy Parliamentary Leader Salahuddin, and Chief Engineers of KWSC were also present, reflecting a collaborative approach to addressing the city’s water-related challenges.
UC Chairmen took the opportunity to apprise Mayor Karachi of the specific water supply and drainage issues in their respective areas. They emphasized the need for prompt solutions, and Mayor Karachi assured them of immediate redressal. In response, he directed KWSC officials to prioritize and resolve all issues promptly.
Emphasizing collaboration with UC and Town Chairmen, Mayor Karachi expressed his commitment to addressing challenges swiftly, ensuring citizens receive improved facilities, and reiterated that this remains a top priority for his administration. This collaborative and proactive approach aims to streamline water services and enhance the overall quality of life for Karachi’s residents.
