Karachi Braces for Chilly Days as Temperature Drops to 10°C, Single Digits Expected
Karachi, renowned for its mild climate, is experiencing a noticeable chill as the minimum temperature dipped to 10°C on Wednesday, according to the latest report from the Meteorological Office. Residents can expect colder nights and mornings in the coming days, with the current temperature hovering at 12°C.
The Meteorological Office forecasts dry weather with colder nights over the next 24 hours, projecting a maximum temperature range of 24 to 26°C. Humidity levels this morning stood at 63 per cent, indicating a crisp atmosphere in the city.
Looking ahead, Karachi anticipated to witness single-digit temperatures, marking a departure from its usual weather patterns. The forecast for the upper parts of the country suggests predominantly cold and cloudy conditions. Northern regions and north Balochistan expected to experience very cold temperatures over the next 12 hours. Additionally, dense fog and smog are likely to persist in the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh.
This morning, temperatures in other major cities were as follows: Islamabad and Peshawar at two °C, Lahore at five °C, Quetta at minus-two °C, Gilgit at minus-four degrees, Murree at one degree, and Muzaffarabad at three degrees Celsius.
As Karachi readies itself for the impending drop in temperatures, residents advised to prepare for colder days and nights, while the rest of the country braces for a wintry spell with varying degrees of cold and cloud cover.
