The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has recently released a highly anticipated weather forecast for the upcoming week in Karachi, Pakistan. The report indicates varying levels of rainfall in different areas, including the bustling city of Karachi. The anticipated precipitation is expected to bring much-needed relief from the ongoing intense heatwave. However, it may also present certain difficulties for the region.
As per the PMD’s observations, the monsoon winds originating from the Arabian Sea are currently moving towards the upper and central regions of Pakistan. By July 14th, these monsoon winds are expected to gain strength, coinciding with a westerly wave that will impact the northern areas of the country.
The prevailing weather conditions suggest that several cities in Sindh, such as Sukkur, Jacobabad, Nagarparkar, Tharparkar, Umerkot, Sanghar, and Mirpur Khas, are likely to witness rainfall accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms. Some regions might experience substantial precipitation starting from the evening or night of July 14th, continuing until July 16th.
In addition to the monsoon winds, a series of western disturbances is predicted to enter the upper regions of Pakistan today. This will further contribute to the dynamic weather patterns across the country.
The Meteorological Department highlights specific areas where rain, thunder, and lightning are expected during the forecasted period. Barkhan, Loralai, and Zhob might experience these weather phenomena from this evening until July 16th. Moreover, regions including Khuzdar, Zhob, Lasbela, Awaran, Musakhel, DG Khan, and Rajanpur are also expected to receive rainfall.
Cities such as Multan, Bhakkar, Layyah, Kot Addu, Sukkur, Jacobabad, Nagar Parker, and Tharparkar are likely to encounter rain accompanied by strong winds. Umerkot, Sanghar, and Mirpur Khas may also experience rainfall, thunder, and lightning.
