Karachi, the city of lights, braces itself for a sizzling 24 hours ahead. The mercury is set to soar, with the weather forecast predicting a heatwave that could see temperatures reaching a scorching 38 to 40 degrees Celsius.
The city woke up to a minimum temperature of 25.3 degrees Celsius today, with a humidity level hovering around 60 percent. Despite the light winds blowing from the northwest, the heat continues to grip the city.
This weather forecast heatwave isn’t a sudden surprise, though. Karachi has been under the spell of hot and dry weather for several consecutive days now. Residents are advised to stay hydrated and avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun during peak hours.
