Karachi Weather: Hot and Humid Conditions Continue

Karachi, Pakistan’s biggest city, will remain hot and sticky in the next 24 hours, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported. The Karachi weather could include a bit of drizzle along the coast. Humidity will be high at 85%, with winds coming from the southwest.

Temperatures and Air Quality

Temperatures hit 34°C today but are expected to drop to 31°C in the evening. However, the air quality in Karachi is a concern, with a reading of 74 on the pollution scale. It’s best for people with breathing issues or throat irritation to limit their time outdoors.

Monsoon Alert

Monsoon rains are on the way. The Met Office predicts more rain with some breaks until August 27. There’s a chance of urban flooding in parts of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, and Lahore from August 23 to 26. Landslides are also possible in areas like Murree, Galliyat, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and hilly spots in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during this rainy period.

Safety First

Stay updated on the Karachi weather, especially if you’re in the mentioned areas. If the air quality is poor, try to stay indoors, especially if you’re sensitive to it. Be cautious about flooding and landslides in the coming days, and stay safe!
