Karachi Weather Today: PMD Forecasts Light Rain and Drizzle, No Heavy Rain This Week

Karachi Weather Today is expected to remain hot and humid, with the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasting light rain or drizzle in several parts of the city. Thunderstorms and moderate rainfall are also likely in Karachi’s suburban areas, bringing temporary relief from the ongoing heat.

PMD spokesperson Anjum Nazir says that the present monsoon system is primarily impacting the upper regions of Pakistan. Hence, strong rainfall is not anticipated in the coming week in Karachi.

He further said that there may be the possibility of more precipitation in August. Officials, however, state that it’s not time to make a confirmed prediction yet and the weather is being closely tracked.

For the next 24 hours, the forecast in Karachi says the temperature will remain hot and humid in spite of the possibility of light rain. The weather will be warm and humid all day.

The PMD added that the maximum temperature in Karachi is expected to rise to 36°C in the current day. Westerlies are blowing at about 9 km/h and the humidity level is 69 percent.
