Karachi Weather Update: Overcast Conditions with Possibility of Showers

In the country’s largest city, Karachi, overcast conditions are prevailing on Monday, with the maximum temperature expected to reach 34 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Office has issued a fresh advisory, stating that the port city will experience partly cloudy skies and high humidity in the next 24 hours, with a slight chance of showers.

With its population of over 17 million residents, Karachi will experience a high humidity ratio in the air. However, there is some relief for those outdoors, as the speed of winds blowing from the southwest will offer respite from the heat.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), hot and humid weather is anticipated across the country in the next twelve hours. Additionally, there are predictions of rain, wind, and thundershowers in various regions, including South Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Balochistan, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The latest advisory indicates that shallow monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea are penetrating the upper parts of the country, while a westerly wave is already present over the western regions.
