In a decisive move, the Sindh Food Authority (SFA) has slapped a hefty fine of Rs100,000 on New York Coffee House for breaching essential regulations. The action transpired following a series of complaints lodged against the coffee establishment, prompting a rigorous inspection by an SFA team in Sindhi Muslim Society. Director General of SFA, Agha Fakhar Hussain, oversaw the operation, aiming to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
The inspection brought to light multiple instances of expired edible items within the premises of the coffee house. Consequently, the SFA imposed a substantial fine of Rs100,000 on the coffee house management as a consequence of their failure to adhere to the stipulated regulations.
Agha Fakhar Hussain, addressing the incident, emphasized the SFA’s unwavering commitment to taking indiscriminate action against those who peddle substandard food items, violating established rules and regulations. This firm stance underscores the SFA’s dedication to upholding food safety standards and protecting the well-being of consumers.
