Sindh’s Minister of Municipalities, Saeed Ghani, announced that the much-anticipated Malir Expressway will partially open to the public by August 14, 2024, with full access to Kathore expected by June 2025. This announcement aims to alleviate traffic congestion and improve connectivity in the region.
During a recent inspection tour, Ghani expressed his frustration with the sluggish progress on the Karimabad underpass project. He emphasized the need for accelerated efforts to meet the project’s deadlines.
Saeed Ghani was joined by prominent officials, including the General Secretary of the People’s Party Sindh, Syed Waqar Mehdi, Sindh Assembly member Farooq Awan, and Chairman of Korangi Town Muhammad Naeem Sheikh, to review ongoing infrastructure projects.

The Chief Minister of Sindh has mandated that the segment of the Malir Expressway up to Qaidabad must be operational by mid-August.
