NCCIA Uncovers Child Abuse Network, Father Accused of Selling Videos of His Children

Pakistan’s National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has traced an alleged international network selling explicit videos involving children after a month-long investigation. Officials say the investigation uncovered links in Skardu, Islamabad, Multan and southern Punjab.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on October 25, NCCIA Additional Director Mohammad Shoaib Khan said the main suspect allegedly filmed his own children, aged four to five, and sold the videos through private Telegram groups. Buyers allegedly paid through cryptocurrency.

Investigators also found footage involving animal abuse. International agencies assisted in the suspect’s arrest, while raids continued to trace other alleged members.

Khan described the case as unprecedented in Pakistan and said authorities would not disclose identities that could compromise the investigation.

Separate Karachi Investigation

The NCCIA Karachi Zone also arrested suspects from three companies in Rabia City, Gulistan-i-Jauhar, on October 23. Officials alleged the firms created and sold explicit animations featuring child-like characters to overseas clients, including in the United States and Germany.

Investigators said the companies used fake social media profiles posing as girls and women to attract customers. They allegedly sold existing material and produced customized content on request. Officials also alleged that customers were blackmailed after purchases.

The operation led to 42 people being detained and 45 mobile phones being seized. Thirteen suspects were formally arrested and given four days of physical remand for further investigation. Investigators are examining digital evidence and the suspects’ individual roles.

Khan also described a separate case in which four suspects allegedly approached children aged six to 14 through Instagram, offered them money and distributed abusive videos through WhatsApp groups.

Investigators examined around 60 videos recovered from a child’s phone. He said two Chinese nationals had previously been convicted in related cases.
