New Rs 100 Per Liter Petrol Subsidy Announced; Check How To Apply

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a petrol relief scheme for low-income and middle-class people amid rising global oil prices. The scheme will provide relief of up to Rs100 per liter for motorcycles, rickshaws and small vehicles.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the government understands the pressure caused by higher oil prices and would take steps to reduce the burden on people.

  • Under the scheme, motorcycle and rickshaw owners will receive Rs100 per liter relief on up to 20 liters of petrol per month.
  • Owners of vehicles up to 800cc will receive the same relief on 30 liters per month.

  • You will get your digital fuel token
  • Show the token to the petrol pump attendant to claim the Rs. 100 per liter petrol relief.

Petrol Relief Scheme to Start This Week

The scheme will first start in Islamabad on the night between Monday and Tuesday. The government will then extend it across Pakistan, including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, on the night between Wednesday and Thursday.

The Prime Minister said registration for the scheme has started. The government will share details about the registration process through an awareness campaign.

The relief scheme aims to reduce the impact of higher petrol prices on motorcycle and rickshaw users and owners of small cars.
