OGRA authorize a 45% increase in gas prices from July

Another massive bomb of price hikes has burdened the people of Pakistan. However, this time with OGRA�s decision of increasing 45% of gas tariff from the month of July. In a conversation with IMF, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) approved an increase on gas prices on Friday. This will be another decision of price rise under the leadership of PMLN. 

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has approved 45% while on the other hand Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has approved 44%. The new prices will be applicable from July 1. The gas prices are now fixed at Rs 854.52 per MMBTU for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited consumers. This will be another price inflation bomb after an increase in petroleum products.�

For Sui Southern Gas Company the set price at Rs 1,007.82 per MMBTU after an increase of Rs 308.53 per MMBTU.�In order to heighten the weak economy, the government is removing subsidies on commodities to coincide with IMF.�
