Pak Suzuki Motors Data Leaked in Major Cyberattack!

Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited (PSMCL), a leading automobile manufacturer in Pakistan, has been targeted by a cyberattack that resulted in a corporate data leak. The company announced the incident in a filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Monday.

PSMCL’s initial investigations suggest that the leaked data includes sensitive information related to Human Resources (HR) and financial departments. The company hasn’t specified the extent of the leak or if data from other departments was compromised.

Following the discovery of the data breach, Pak Suzuki has taken immediate action to mitigate the situation. They have hired a security consultant to conduct a thorough forensic assessment to identify the scope of the attack and eliminate potential security threats within their entire IT infrastructure.

This cyberattack on Pak Suzuki comes a month after a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report exposed a massive data leak from the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA). The report revealed that personal information of over 27 million Pakistani citizens was stolen between 2019 and 2023, with involvement from NADRA offices in Multan, Peshawar, and Karachi. The stolen data reportedly traveled from Pakistan to Dubai and was potentially sold on black markets in Argentina and Romania.
