How to Apply for a New Passport:

Applying for a new passport in Pakistan involves specific requirements, depending on the age of the applicant. Here’s a breakdown of the documents needed:

For Applicants Ages 18 and Above:

  1. Proof of Fee Payment: Submit proof of the prescribed passport fee payment, which can be an Original Bank Paid Fee Challan (receipt) or e-Payment Confirmation Detail (SMS/Email) along with the PSID No.
  2. CNIC/NICOP: Provide the original Valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) or National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) along with a photocopy.
  3. Previous Passport: If you have issued a passport before, bring the original passport along with its photocopy.
  4. NOC for Government Employees: If you are a government, semi-government, or autonomous body employee, obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your respective department.
  5. For Dual Nationals: If you hold a foreign passport as well, bring it along with a photocopy.
  6. Lost Passport: If your passport lost, provide a Lost Passport Police report mentioning the previous passport number.

For Applicants Under 18:

  1. Proof of Fee Payment: Submit proof of the prescribed passport fee payment, which can be an Original Bank Paid Fee Challan (receipt) or e-Payment Confirmation Detail (SMS/Email) along with the PSID No.
  2. Child Registration Certificate (CRC) or FRC: Provide the original Child Registration Certificate (CRC), Family Registration Certificate (FRC), or Smart Card along with one photocopy.
  3. Parents’ CNICs/Passports: Bring the original valid CNICs or Passports of both parents along with photocopies.
  4. Accompanied by Parent or Legal Guardian: The minor must be accompanied by either a parent or a legal guardian appointed by the court of law. The accompanying adult should have their original CNIC/NICOP and a photocopy.
  5. Custody Papers for Separated/Divorced Parents: If the parents separated or divorced, bring the custody papers granted by the Court of Law.
  6. Guardianship Certificate: If a guardian is applying, provide a guardianship certificate issued by the court of law. The appointed guardian must visit the Passport office in person with the minor, along with their original CNIC and its photocopy.
  7. For Dual Nationals: If the minor holds a foreign passport as well, bring it along with a photocopy.
  8. Deceased Parent: In case either parent deceased, provide the original Death Certificate along with a photocopy.
  9. Lost Passport: If the minor’s passport lost, provide a Lost Passport Police report mentioning the previous passport number.
