Pakistan Passport Ranking 2026 Drops to 101st in Henley Passport Index

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan passport ranking 2026 has slipped once again in the latest Henley Passport Index, with the country falling one place to 101st globally. The latest ranking places the Pakistani passport among the four weakest passports in the world, highlighting continued restrictions on international travel for Pakistani citizens.

The Henley Passport Index 2026, which measures the rank of 199 passports based on how many countries visa-free travel allows their holders, has shown that Pakistan’s ranking in the world has slipped as its visa-free access has decreased.

Pakistan Passport Ranking 2026 Declines

The current report shows that in May 2026 Pakistanis were granted visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 30 countries. As of July 2026, the number further decreased to 29 destinations and Pakistan’s rank dropped to 101st.

The report also pointed out that Pakistan’s passport has remained one of the four weakest passports in the world since January 2021.

For now, only Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria are lower than Pakistan on the global passport rankings, with Yemen sitting right next to it.

Visa-Free Countries for Pakistani Passport Holders

Even though the Pakistan’s rank has dropped, Pakistani nationals are still eligible for visa-free travel to a number of countries, including:

• Barbados
• Dominica
• Haiti
• Rwanda
• The Gambia
• Trinidad and Tobago
• Vanuatu

In addition, Pakistanis can obtain a visa on arrival in countries such as:

• Cambodia
• Maldives
• Nepal
• Madagascar
• Palau
• Samoa
• Senegal
• Sierra Leone

These countries remain some of the most accessible places for Pakistanis despite the nation’s ranking at the bottom of the global list.

Countries Removing Travel Access for Pakistanis

Notably, the Henley Passport Index report has also revealed that in 2026, the governments of Cape Verde, Mozambique and Qatar have withdrawn visa-free or visa-on-arrival facilities for Pakistani passport holders.

The restriction of these travel opportunities curtailed the total amount of available destinations and helped Pakistan’s latest drop in the world’s ranking of the most powerful passports.

World’s Most Powerful Passport in 2026

The Henley Passport Index 2026 shows that Singapore remains the most powerful passport with its citizens able to access 192 countries with visa-free or visa-on-arrival access.

Japan, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates are tied for second place, followed by Sweden in the ranks of the newest global passport index.

The ranking of Pakistan’s passport is also largely driven by developments in visa policies and diplomatic ties with other nations.
