Pakistan Warns Visa Applicants: Fake Documents Could Lead to Deportation, Permanent Travel Ban

The Bureau of Emigration and Employment Pakistan has issued a strong warning to citizens applying for visas, urging them not to use illegal agents for the verification of visa documents.

The bureau said that certain Pakistani visa applicants are using the services of unauthorized agents who are using illegal methods to obtain official documents. The fraudulent agents are usually working with fake stamps of government institutions and forged signatures to process the paperwork for visas.

The advisory also disclosed that a lot of applicants are engaged in visa fraud by submitting false or manipulated documents while applying for the visa. The fake papers often have fabricated attestations, such as educational certificates, bank statements, and police character certificates.

The Bureau of Emigration has issued a warning about the consequences of employing fake or illegally verified papers. Visa rejection, cancellation of visas already issued, permanent entry bans by foreign countries, deportation, etc. are possible penalties that may be faced by the applicants.

The officials also said that such illegal exercise harms Pakistan’s image and impacts credibility of genuine visa seekers. Anyone engaged in document fraud can be targeted by law by the bureau, it added.

The Bureau of Emigration has urged to all the Pakistanis regarding the issuance of foreign visas, that they must check their documents only with the concerned government authorities. Applicants are also advised to avoid cut-corn, illegal agents or opportunities for achieving validity in order to avoid risk of fraud and legal repercussions.
