The announcement, made in the Budget 2023-24 speech document, outlines the privileges and preferential treatment that Diamond Card holders will be entitled to.
One of the key benefits offered to Diamond Card holders is the provision of a non-prohibited bore license, allowing them to legally possess firearms for personal protection and recreational purposes. This exclusive license aims to provide a sense of security and empowerment to overseas Pakistanis who have made substantial financial contributions to their homeland.
Additionally, Diamond Card holders will be eligible for a gratis passport, enabling them to obtain or renew their passports without any charges. This perk is intended to streamline the documentation process for overseas Pakistanis, making it more convenient for them to travel and visit their home country.
Furthermore, holders of the Diamond Card will enjoy preferential access to Pakistani embassies and consulates worldwide. This enhanced access aims to facilitate smoother and expedited interactions with diplomatic missions, ensuring that overseas Pakistanis receive prompt and efficient services whenever required.
To enhance the travel experience of Diamond Card holders, the government has also introduced fast-track immigration services at Pakistani airports. This means that holders of the Diamond Card will be able to bypass lengthy immigration queues and enjoy a hassle-free entry and exit process, saving valuable time during their visits to Pakistan.
