Pakistani Passport Falls to 183rd in 2026 Global Ranking, Visa-Free Access Limited to 9 Countries

Pakistan’s passport has fallen nine places to 183rd in the 2026 Passport Reports ranking. Its Mobility Score has also dropped to 42, with only nine destinations offering visa free entry to Pakistani passport holders.

Pakistan now ranks 183rd among 199 passports in the latest global index published by Passport Reports. The ranking was updated on 15 September 2026.

The passport has a Mobility Score of 42. This means Pakistani citizens have simplified entry access to 42 destinations through visa-free travel, visas on arrival or electronic travel authorizations.

Where Pakistanis Can Travel Without a Visa

The score does not mean that Pakistanis can enter 42 countries without a visa. Passport Reports lists only 9 destinations as visa-free for Pakistani passport holders.

These destinations are:

Africa: The Gambia and Rwanda

North America: Barbados, Dominica, Haiti, St Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago

Oceania: MicronesiaandVanuatu

Pakistan Passport Ranking in 2026

Pakistan’s ranking has changed significantly over the past few years.

• 2023: It stood at 180th
• 2024: Improved to 175th (+5)
• 2025: Reached 174th (+1)
• 2026: Dropped to 183rd (-9)

The Mobility Score also declined after reaching 47 in both 2023 and 2024. It fell to 44 in 2025 and now stands at 42.

The current ranking is also below Pakistan’s 2020 position of 169th. However, the Mobility Score is six points higher than the 36 recorded in 2020.

Visa Access for Pakistani Passport Holders

Passport Reports lists 29 destinations where Pakistani citizens can obtain a visa on arrival. Another 4 destinations provide access through an eTA.

The remaining 156 destinations require Pakistani travelers to obtain a visa before travel.

Passport Reports calculates its Mobility Score by combining visa-free entry, visa-on-arrival access and eTA access. It uses visa-free access as the first tie-breaker when passports have the same Mobility Score.

The 2026 ranking therefore reflects the specific methodology used by Passport Reports. Other passport indexes can give Pakistan a different position because their scoring systems and definitions of travel access may differ.
