Pakistani Prime Minister to visit Turkey

According to the Pakistani Ministry of Information on May 30, local time, Pakistani Prime Minister Shabazz Sharif will pay an official visit to Turkey from May 31 to June 2. This is Shabazz Sharif’s first visit to Turkey since taking office.

According to Pakistan’s Ministry of Information, Shabazz Sharif’s visit to Turkey will be accompanied by a delegation of ministers, special assistants and senior officials. The visit of the Pakistani Prime Minister aims to deepen cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey in trade, investment, regional integration, education, health, culture and public relations. Currently, a number of Turkish companies have invested more than PKR 1 billion in Pakistan, covering construction, energy, products, electronics and dairy products.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Turkey. During the visit, Shabazz Sharif will hold talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, followed by delegation-level talks.
